sagn kalles denne tiden gudenes eller maktenes (ragna genitiv flertall av regin)
oppløsning eller skjebne (rök). Mindre opprinnelig, ragnarøkkr eller gudenes
mørke.
Ragnarok
is the last great battle fought between the gods and the giants. The gods
represent the forces order and the giants embody of the forces of chaos. The
confrontation between the two leads to the end of the world. In the end, chaos
prevails and order is destroyed.
